See what our students have been up to during a recent trip to the Verizon Headquarters for Verizon Career Day
City-Polytechnic High School of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology recently had the honor of taking part in Verizon Career Day at its operations center in Basking Ridge, NJ, on November 18, 2011. Having students meet Verizon executives, learn about and discuss career opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, shadow employees, and tour the high-tech 1.3 million-square-foot complex was both an exciting and enriching experience for our students. Use of the Computers: We also want to remind you and your child that computer use is a privilege. We have had a number of incidents where students were not following our Internet policy and were accessing Web sites that were not part of their instruction. Our students are constantly reminded that they are to stay focused on instruction while using the computer. We will need to take away computer privileges of students who continue to access sites that are approved for their use.
